Hemp seeds are good for you...

Hemp seeds are a nutritious source of plant-based healthy fats, protein and various minerals.

They are a great source of protein, with more than 25% of their total calories from high-quality protein. And whole hemp seeds are a good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, containing 20% and 80%, respectively.

They contain over 30% fat — in two essential fatty acids, linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3).

Hemp grows prolifically with little water and no pesticides. It takes up relatively little space, produces more pulp per acre than trees, and is biodegradable.

We love Italy. We've studied the language, cooked in its tradition since our founder’s early training as a chef, and we love Vespas. We also love winding streets with views of the Adriatic ... and colorful, joyful expression. So we borrowed from Italy’s warm and inviting culture.

Our Story

Two friends, living six time zones apart, knew that one day they would collaborate, and bring their shared philosophy of life to a brand that would make people feel good. They waited a long time. It had to be right. It had to have purpose and reflect their ideals.

She: Lisa Newmann, an award-winning food innovator and environmentally-driven businesswoman. He: Boaz Wachtel, a business leader, hemp enthusiast and agricultural technologist.

Their vision, knowledge, experience and joy for life fuels a company whose values align with their own. 

Along the way, another founder joined the Sazi team — Kim Allardyce, a Berkshire-based and operations-focused entrepreneur with a professional background in health, wellness and food brands.

The root of their style? Italy, the country of culinary love, agricultural respect, innovative design, kindness and beauty.
